Troy University will soon have a new look. School is undergoing many constructions projects designed to give students more housing and amenities.
The University has broken ground on a new dorm building that will house over 500 students.
The school also has projects ranging from adding a Barnes and Nobel Bookstore and a coffee shop to a new track and soccer complex.
We have to continue to make our facilities first class. That requires that we add classroom space,” said Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr. of Troy Chancellor.
“It requires we add bedroom space. And it also requires we add parking space. So we're doing that."
Last Friday, the board of trustees approved building a new College of Education building after the new dorm is completed.
