As the Sunshine State prepares for the Memorial Day weekend, officials are working to make sure that neither fun nor safety are sacrificed because of a terror threat.
In the Panhandle and elsewhere, deputies have been given a list of potential targets to watch over during their normal patrols.
There will also be stronger security at large Memorial Day gatherings.
Airports around the state have increased their security to again include vehicle checks.
Authorities also are urging citizens to report any suspicious activity.
