A capital murder suspect in Dothan goes to court again next week.
Fifty-seven-year-old Joseph Holly is charged in a shooting death.
Thirty-eight-year-old James Layton, Jr. was killed by a shotgun blast when he entered his home on Saunders Road last month.
Investigators say Holly apparently got inside the house by using a key hidden under a doormat.
A preliminary hearing in the case is set for August 9.
Holly is being held without bond in the Houston County Jail.
