Police and convenient store owners are breathing a little easier, as two robbery suspects remain behind bars.
Davion Rashod Cooper and Joe Ben Conley are charged in connection with several armed robberies in the area.
Cooper was arrested Thursday by Dothan police officers, and then Conley turned himself in the next day to the Houston County Sheriff's Office.
Dothan police believe the men are responsible for at least seven armed robberies in the Dothan-Houston County area.
“This is a crime of violence. Any time someone uses a weapon in a crime, we try to capture them as soon as possible,” said Capt. Nick Monday of Dothan Police Dept.
“Fortunately, no one was injured, but you never know what could happen next. So it was real important to us to capture these people."
Investigators tell News 4 they think Cooper and Conley are also responsible for as many as 10 more armed robberies in Troy, Eufaula and as far north as Montgomery.
