A state conservation panel has banned dog hunting for deer in three Alabama counties.
It's because of feuding between landowners and hunters.
The Conservation Advisory Board met Saturday in Eufaula as the vote was taken to ban dog hunting in Lamar, Marion and Franklin Counties and limited to certain areas in Coffee, Conecuh and Butler.
The ban becomes law if signed by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Commissioner Barnett Lawley.
Lawley has said he would sign the measure.
Besides vandalism, complaints against hunters have included trespassing and death threats.
Dog hunters have countered that the problems are caused by only a few dog hunters and that now all are being unfairly blamed and punished.
