A Dothan woman was found dead in a downtown Dothan motel Saturday.
Police have identified the body as that of 40-year-old Debra Wilson. Police say she was beaten to death.
Around 11 a.m. Saturday, the housekeeper at the Bee Line Motel on Montgomery Highway discovered the body of the woman.
The owner of the motel says the woman had been staying at the motel since Tuesday and paid her bill on a daily basis.
Her body was found still in the bed and covered in blood.
Police say she was killed sometime Friday night and had been dead for eight to 10 hours before she was found.
