Domestic Violence Suspect Caught in Georgia

A suspect in the beating of a Headland woman has been arrested in Georgia.

27 year old Timothy Dwayne Dean is charged with domestic violence and burglary.

Headland Police Chief Mark Jones says Dean allegedly broke into the home of his former girlfriend last Friday night and beat her with a hammer.

Dean was apprehended Wednesday in Moultrie, Georgia and is being held without bond in the Colquitt County jail.

Chief Jones says he's not sure yet if Dean will waive extradition and return to Alabama willingly to face the charges against him.
