A Daleville Magistrate Employee Arrested

A former employee of the Daleville Police Department has been arrested for allegedly stealing city funds.

40-year-old Robin Amaya is charged with theft of property.

She began working for the Daleville Police Department as a dispatcher in 1998.

She moved to the magistrate's office 5-years ago.

Police Chief Jimmy Seaton says an audit this month revealed more than $21,000 in missing funds.

The chief says the on-going investigation could turn-up more missing money.

Amaya is free on a $25,000 bond.
