Olson Won Dale Co. Sheriff Race by Small Margin

For the Republican sheriff primary candidate Wally Olson beat his opponent Walter Ford by just under 1,000 votes.

Election leaders say the number of voters was almost 5,500.

25 of the 26 precincts have been counted with the remaining precinct contains provisional ballots.

Those will be counted later.

However, those provisional ballots aren't expected to change any of the results.

Wally Olson will now take on Hal Cox in the November election.
