The Alabama Power Foundation is accepting applications for the 2006 community forestry project.
More than $370,000 has been distributed in tree grants over the past 7-years.
Nearly 400 cities, counties, schools and community groups have used the money to buy thousands of trees to plant in parks, along roadways and on property.
The community forestry project is open to local governments, non-profit groups and public and private schools, colleges and universities.
