Two African American men entered the Shell station on Highway 231 north in Ozark. They forced the clerk behind the counter at gunpoint and made a getaway on foot with the cash, all in 36 seconds.
Officials think the Ozark robbery is connected to others in the area including those in Ashford, Dothan, Eufaula, Ozark and possibly Florida.
“This morning before six o'clock two black males armed with a long gun and demanded money from safe and exited the store,” said Deputy Chief Eddie Henderson of Ozark Police.
The only description authorities have are two black males, one is tall and slender.
