Geneva County residents phone bill is about to go up.
The increase of a dollar a month relates to 911 expenses.
The Geneva County E-911 board recently voted to raise the monthly rate from 2 dollars to 3 dollars.
The increase is to cover remaining costs on the E-911 operations center.
Geneva county commissioners aren't happy about the increase.
They're asking the 911 director to make sure the rate hike is necessary and legal before it is implemented.
