Jail officials in one Wiregrass county say they have a huge problem, and it could cause a lot of trouble.
Coffee County Jail personnel say the facility's fire alarm is NOT working.
In the event of a fire, there's concern that flames could get out of hand before anyone realizes there's a problem.
The jail's sprinkler system is working, but the alarm reportedly went down after installation of a computer system.
The Coffee County Commission approved a motion to have an electrician determine what's causing the alarm system to malfunction.
