Dothan Police have located a fugitive drunk driver eight years after he was charged, but they may never take the case to trial.
That's because Christopher Busby is now charged with murder and driving under the influence following a fatal wreck in Mobile.
Busby is being held without bond in the Mobile County Jail.
Court records show Busby has six DUI convictions. The most recent came just a few weeks before he was involved in a fatal wreck that killed a Mobile woman this month.
That wreck happened on a Saturday and Busby was supposed to be serving 90 weekend days behind bars, but investigators say he never reported to jail that Friday night.
Busby also didn't show up to stand trial for a 1995 DUI charge in Dothan.
Local police say they'll wait to see how the most recent charges in Mobile "pan-out" before deciding whether to prosecute their case.
