Kennedy Awards

Former Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes is in Boston to accept an award for changing the state flag.

Barnes will accept the Kennedy Profile in Courage Award. A former South Carolina Gov., David Beasley, is also getting the award for standing against the Confederate battle emblem.

Senator Ted Kennedy praised Barnes and Beasily because they, "endured a firestorm of outrage."

The Kennedy library gives the awards annually to those who defend unpopular principles.
