A Jackson County man is in police custody after an on-going investigation of retail merchandise in his store.
Brother’s Fashion on Highway 71-north in Marianna is now closed, after authorities raided the store Tuesday.
Police say they found nearly $1,000 pirated compact discs, and more than 100 Air Jordan shoes with bogus labels.
In addition to the phony merchandise, police also seized about 20-grams of marijuana from the business.
"If we have victims locally that purchased some of that and are upset, they can fill out reports to us and we'll do what we can to help them," Sheriff John McDaniel of Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office.
Burga Demirel is part owner of the store and is on a student visa from Turkey. He is being held until further action can be taken. The investigation is ongoing.
