A Dothan man is in jail Tuesday, after police say they seized two pounds of high grade marijuana.
Narcotics officers from the Dothan Police Department arrested 22-year-old Larue Morris. He was jailed under $10,000 bond.
The investigation began after police received a tip that a package of marijuana was being shipped from California to Dothan.
Narcotics officers staked out the destination, a home on Lagrand Drive.
Morris was arrested after he reportedly loaded the package into his car. The pot was hidden inside a television and had an estimated street value of about $4,000.
“Very significant arrest by the Narcotics Department of the Dothan Police Department, it certainly takes a large amount of illegal drugs off the street and out of the hands of children in the city of Dothan,” said Police Chief John Powell.
Police also seized Morris's car and more than $2,500 in cash.
