The Alabama primary was held three-weeks-ago, but poll workers just recently got paid.
Coffee County Commissioner Tom Grimsley says that's way too long. The commission unanimously passed a measure which will pay the workers on the day of the election.
Grimsley says these men and women wind-up working more than 12-hours and they deserve to receive their check on time.
Coffee County has a total of 34 precincts run by mostly retirees.
