Houston County officials are cracking down on contractors who work on subdivision without a permit.
Officials want to make sure that contractors understand the guidelines and usage of Houston County codes.
It is $25 for developers to receive a permit. This new requirement goes into effect on July 1st.
Houston Co. Commission Chairman Mark Culver said, “It allows us to make sure people when they buy the permit they know what are subdivision regulations are. It makes sure they obey by those subdivision regulations if they don’t if they don’t it will have some teeth in it that will hit developers in the pocket.”
Developers can receive their permit at Houston County recreational department.
