Central Coffee County was hit hard by Sunday night's storms. Several people tell News 4 they recorded wind gusts in excess of 50 miles per hour.
The wind blew down a storage building under construction at New Brockton High School.
Workers stayed busy Monday morning collecting lumber to re-assemble the facility. School officials say the wood frame couldn't handle the straight line winds which blew through the community.
Emergency Management Director John Tallas says the storm also caused several problems with water lines around Kinston.
Everything is back to normal.
