Two Enterprise firefighters received prestigious honor

Two Enterprise Firefighters received a prestigious honor from the city Thursday.

Enterprise Mayor Kenneth Boswell presented police officers Kevin Sanders and Eric Stinson with the department's lifesaving medal.

The officers entered a burning building twice to awaken people and get them to safety.

It happened on Friday May 12 at the Brookdale Apartments on apache drive.

The officers heard smoke alarms sounding and went to the apartments where they started kicking in doors and saving lives.

They went into one apartment and carried an elderly woman out of her bed to safety.

Enterprise Police Dept. Chief T.D. Jones "Above and beyond the call of duty. A lot of times folks see them riding in patrol cars. A lot of the public doesn't know what we do like this. I commend them"

Mayor Boswell also commended officers Sanders and Stinson for going beyond the call of duty in order to save lives.
