Enterprise's new automated garbage collection system has ruffled a few feathers among some homeowners.
The city's public works department has refused to pick-up trash this week from people who have not properly placed their garbage containers by the curb.
Public works director, Bill Shelton, says homeowners have been given a 7-week grace period to learn the system and were hand delivered literature on the proper way to place containers out for weekly pick-up.
Two new automated trucks handle about 80-percent of the city's 6,000 customers.
Recently, Dothan agreed to start a similar automated garbage collection system in the near future.
