Laci Patterson

A day after another memorial for his wife, Scott Peterson will be back in a California courtroom Monday.

He'll be at a hearing, where a judge will decide whether search warrants used against Peterson can be unsealed and whether the judge himself will continue with the case.

Peterson is accused of killing his wife Laci and their unborn child. He's now being defended by high-powered attorney, Mark Geragos, who signed on last week.

In his last court appearance, Peterson was wearing shackles and an orange jumpsuit. Geragos persuaded the judge to allow Peterson to make future appearances in civilian clothes.

Some 3,000 people packed a church Sunday for a memorial on what would have been Laci Peterson's 28th birthday.
