City School Cuts on Hold

A decision on proposed budget cuts for Dothan City Schools has been put on hold. That's because Superintendent Dr. Leon Hobbs, along with 128 other superintendents from around the state, will be meeting with Gov. Bob Riley in Montgomery.

They'll be discussing their concerns over reductions in education spending. Superintendent Hobbs believes the meeting with the governor will be positive.

A school board meeting has been scheduled for May 5 to determine the final outcome of the district's $3 million budget cut plan.
