Winn-Dixie to Emerge From Bankruptcy

Winn-Dixie stores will file its re-organization plan later this month and emerge from bankruptcy protection by late October.

A company attorney says the supermarket chain has agreed with creditors on how they will be paid.

The agreement has been a major stumbling block for the chain to emerge from bankruptcy protection.

Winn-Dixie filed for re-organization in February of 2005.

A hearing will be scheduled in august to work out the details for the parties involved to vote on the plan.
