Governor Bob Riley is going around the world in ten days to try and lure more industries to Alabama and to increase the state's exports.
Riley and about 30 business and university officials will begin the trade mission in china on July 8.
Riley heads for Seoul, South Korea on July 13, where he will be joined by about 40 Alabamians and on July 15, Riley will arrive in London, where he will be met by another Alabama delegation.
The state's top industrial recruiter, Neal Wade, says Riley is the first Alabama Governor to lead a trade mission to china since George Wallace in 1984.
