During the month of November, in honor of American Indian History Month, Alabama’s nine American Indian tribes from around the state are coming together for an event to share their culture and its history with travelers from all walks of life.
The event will be hosted Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Dothan Civic Center.
Exhibits open at 5:00 pm. The event will include a brief introduction of American Indian history, interactive cultural booths, cultural dance demonstration with full regalia and drum, introduction of participating Chiefs and a special guest appearance by Ms. Indian Alabama.
These activities will serve as significant expressions relevant to the history of American Indians. Current event participants feature representation from seven of the nine tribes.
Tickets are on sale now at the Dothan Civic Center Box Office.
