An army soldier from Prattville who was killed in the War on Terror in Iraq was buried with full military honors Tuesday.
25-year-old army Sergeant Carlos Pernell was assigned to company B, 46th Engineer Battalion, based at Ft. Rucker.
The army said he was killed June 6 during a mortar attack along with another soldier. Three others in the battalion were wounded in the attack.
Survivors include his wife and their 14-month-old daughter
