Some Houston County Sheriff's deputies are going through 30 hours of intense combat situations.
When they are finished, they will have the skill to handle any situation: from finding a terrorist in a crowd of civilians, to catching an everyday criminal.
"It's a very demanding training and it brings out the best in our deputies when you put them in these very volatile, very physical type of situations," says Houston County Sheriff, Andy Hughes.
What makes this course stand out is the man behind it.
Aaron Cohen was born in California.
After high school, he went to Israel to serve in their military.
There, he was selected to become part of the counter terrorist unit.
"I was raised in L.A. but I grew up in Israel," says Cohen.
He has been a bodyguard for famous celebrities and trained other law enforcement agencies nationwide.
He is using these skills to train our local deputies on how to become more mobile in the fields and how to conserve time when handling a crisis situation.
The training will wrap up this Sunday.
