3 people killed in Macon car crash

MACON, Ga. (AP) -- A car wreck has killed a driver and two passengers in Macon.

Police said the accident happened 2 a.m. Saturday when 38-year-old Sherry Bishop lost control of her 2004 Chevy Impala.

Witnesses told police that the vehicle was traveling fast while approaching an intersection. It went over a curb, struck a sign and several bushes. It rolled over and hit a light pole and a tree near a gas station.

Two passengers, 40-year-old Temple Dumas and 45-year-old Derwin Durden, were thrown from the vehicle.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
