(Dothan, AL)—Three people are behind bars after police bust a man for distributing synthetic marijuana during a traffic stop. A further investigation, led authorities to the arrest of two more people involved.
It’s a problem that authorities say isn’t a major issue, but is constantly being monitored.

“This isn’t something we’ve seen around here in a while, “ Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes said. “Our last big bust was a couple of months ago, this time we seized 200 grams of spice,” he said.

On Monday deputies recovered $19,000 of spice and an automatic pistol.

20-year-old Joshua Bryant of Dothan, 21-year-old Phillip Beasley of Wetumka and 27-year-old Crystal Wolfe were arrested.

Bryant faces distribution and unlawful possession charges. He’s being held on a $2,500 bond.

Bryant and Wolfe were arrested after being caught a Dothan hotel smoking spice in front of two young children. Each face possession, child endangerment charges and are being held at the Houston County Jail on $10,000 bond.
