2nd Suspect Charged in Death of Ft. Benning Soldier

SEALE, Ala. (AP) -- A man has been charged in the death of a Fort Benning soldier whose body was found in an eastern Alabama ditch.

Russell County Sheriff's officials say Travis Leonard has been charged in the death of 34-year-old Donald LaShon Wilson. Officials have already arrested Wilson's 34-year-old wife, Gloria, and say Leonard is the woman's boyfriend.

The Ledger-Enquirer of Columbus reports Gloria Wilson was having an affair with Leonard while Donald Wilson was reassigned to Hawaii. Wilson told her he wanted a divorce and authorities say she and Taylor plotted to kill him for about $450,000 in benefit money. It's unclear if the two have attorneys.

Wilson was found in a ditch in Seale Monday morning and Phenix City police found his car on fire in a parking lot.
