Troy is hosting its 2nd Annual WOD for Water Event. The purpose of this event is to raise funds and awareness for NeverThirst, an organization in Birmingham that digs clean water wells for people in third world countries.
The way they raise funds is through a WOD (workout of the day) where we use Jerry Cans filled with water to do a 20 minute workout. These Jerry cans symbolize what kids go through every day in India to fetch water, water that is usually unclean.
We had a lot of participation from the Dothan area last year and hope to do the same again this year.
The pre-registration deadline Friday, October 18th.
The event has reached their initial goal of $20,000 which will provide 8 wells in India.
They have set a new goal of $30,000 and are asking for your help!
