2 Arrested in Bay County Stabbing
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday the arrest of two men in connection to a stabbing that occurred Sunday night at about 8 p.m. in the Cedar Grove area of Bay County.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday the arrest of two men in connection to a stabbing that occurred Sunday night at about 8 p.m. in the Cedar Grove area of Bay County. Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division arrested Curtis Locus, DOB 9/11/64 and Gregory Creel, DOB 4/30/67 this afternoon.
Investigators believe that Locus was visiting his girlfriend at her home at 1333 Gray Avenue at about 8 pm Sunday evening when an ex-boyfriend came to the home. The ex-boyfriend came to drop off the daughter he and Locus’ girlfriend have in common. The ex-boyfriend and Locus had a verbal altercation which became a fight when the ex-boyfriend hit Locus and then turned to leave the home. Locus caught him and began to beat him.
At this time the girlfriend’s father, Gregory Creel, tried to break up the fight. When his efforts failed to stop the fight, he grabbed a knife and stabbed Locus in the chest several times. Locus and the ex-boyfriend were both taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Creel, of 1333 Gray Avenue, was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Locus, of 328 N. Star Avenue, was charged with Aggravated Battery with Bodily Injury.
