An 11-year-old girl was attacked by two pit-bulldog mix dogs while riding her bicycle.
An 11-year-old boy came to the girl's rescue along with an adult woman. All three of them had to have stitches for bite wounds.
Forty-three-year-old Mary Kirkland and 74-year-old Maggie Alpin were arrested. Both were charged with three counts of reckless disregard by a dog owner.
The women had previously been warned about controlling their dogs.
Both women are out of jail on bond and both dogs have been destroyed.
