A law enforcement shortage is slowly being filled in central Coffee County:
At New Brockton city hall Coffee County district Judge Paul Sherling administered the oath of service to Jonathan Morgan.
Recently the Elba native received his state law enforcement certification.
Morgan will fill the position of an officer who recently resigned from the department.
New Brockton Chief Dale Grimes says it's his goal to have strictly full time officers.
The chief adds he is now down by only one full time position.
