A Chipley resident has been named Florida's Junior College Student of The Year.
Florida Leader Magazine selected Chrissie Prichrad from among thousands of student leaders throughout the state.
The Chipola Junior College cheerleader has also been named to the All USA Academic First Team. That honor came from USA Today.
Chrissie is scheduled to graduate from Chipola next month. She plans to pursue a degree in civil engineering at either the University of Florida or Georgia Tech
Also, the Chipola Chapter of Phi-Theta-Kappa won the academic equivalent of a national championship. It was chosen number one out of nearly 1,200 chapters nationwide.
