POW Rescue

Fred and Lynn Morgado have received emails from friends and family across the country. Their 37-year-old son, Marine Staff Sergeant Paul Morgado could clearly be seen in the network television broadcast.

He's part of a C-130 crew that helped rescue the seven American POWs and fly them safely from Iraq to Kuwait.

In 1985, Paul joined the Marine Corp out of high school in their native state of Connecticut. His mother says she's been a bundle of nerves, but reminds everyone that it's the young men and women in harm's way that deserve the credit.

This is not Staff Sergeant Morgado's first trip to the desert; he also took part in Operation Desert Storm back in 1991.

The Morgado's say Paul had been e-mailing on a regular basis but the messages have stopped recently because of security reasons.
