A suspect in the drunk-driving deaths of two Houston County teenagers will stand trial as an adult.
20 year old Wellborn Pate Johnson was charged with murder after his pick-up truck collided with a car near Webb in January.
Artia Scoggin and Kimberly Rabon died in the crash.
Authorities say Johnson's blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at the time of the wreck.
Johnson applied for youthful offender status, but Judge Jerry White denied that motion Thursday morning.
As a youthful offender, Johnson’s maximum sentence would have been greatly reduced if he's convicted.
