Samson Police Chief Gary Weeks says his officers are taking a proactive stance when it comes to dealing drugs on city streets.

Over the weekend, authorities arrested Ommie Williams in the downtown district. They say he was carrying three-grams of crack cocaine.

The 19-year-old Geneva County resident faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Chief Weeks says his department is pursuing residential complaints of narcotic sales' predominantly in the southside of the city.

Chief Weeks says many of the users are coming from out-of-town to buy crack and that is an activity that will not be tolerated.

Following the arrests and convictions made in "Operation Who's Next", Geneva County authorities are now finding a younger group of individuals dealing drugs.
