Authorities are waiting for autopsy results to determine the exact cause of the deaths of a teenager and an elderly man who drowned in a Henry County pond.
A third man involved in the accident was not injured.
Authorities say the two inside a canoe were a 15-year-old boy and his step-grandfather.
They say when the boy’s stepfather tried to get in the canoe to join them, it tipped over.
The stepfather was able to get out unharmed.
The dead are identified as 52-year-old Willie Floyd Grimsley and 15-year-old Benny Ray Graham.
