Veteran's Markers

The Enterprise Azalea Garden Club received a $500 gift from the principal financial group Monday to restore a sign dedicated to America’s Veterans.

Club president Jean Wilks received the check.

Highway 84 is a Blue Star Roadway, which is recognition to those American service personnel who have been in harm's way.

Wilks says the $500 will also allow the club members to plant a small garden around the sign.

“We get matching funds for the primary financial group working with the National Garden Club. And seek these funds through the National Garden Club," said Wilks.

The National Garden Club is accepting applications from local clubs nationwide looking to create projects to honor those who have served our country.
