The Troy University-Dothan continuing education center will present a free identity theft seminar as part of its community awareness program.
Houston County Sheriff Lamar Glover will be the featured speaker at the seminar, which begins at about 5:45 in Sony Hall.
Glover will share tips on safeguarding credit, and will also provide information about some of the latest scams showing up in the wiregrass.
Identity theft is up and down the scale from young to old.
Anyone with a credit card is a target.
Glover said the number of cases reported each year in Houston County is relatively low, but the problem is growing.
