The event had fun activities for the whole family.

For chidren there was a puppet show and a dunking booth. There were also events for every pooch, like pet photos and lot of treats.

The event ended witha crowning of the pet king and queen.

The Wiregrass Humane Society was out showing off a few of their prized dogs in hopes of making the community aware of all they have to offer.

Volunteer at the Wiregrass Humane Shelter John Ferguson said, "Dog's and cats and lovable creatures need homes and we're here to raise awareness and we really need everybody's help."

Also at the karnival were booths set up to inform pet lovers about the need for foster families for both cats and dogs. If you are interested in or would like more information about becoming a foster family, you can contact the Wiregrass Humane Society at 792-6693.
