There's good news from the state for a central Coffee County town.
The Alabama Department of Environmental management tests have indicated no violations at the New Brockton wastewater treatment plant.
The city was cited and fined last year for 46 violations.
Most of the problems involved the release of certain materials at the treatment lagoon.
But now, New Brockton Mayor Charles Cole says everything is checking out.
"Maintained upgrade and some of the equipment. We’ve been in compliance," said Mayor Cole.
If the testing continues to go well, Mayor Cole plans to ask the state environmental agency to remove New Brockton from its current consent order.
