Tuesday, a Houston County judge followed a jury recommendation and sentenced 50-year-old Michael Sale to execute by lethal injection.
Last month, a jury convicted the Webb man of capital murder in connection with the March 15, 2004 murder of his wife, Lynn Sale.
The trial has been an emotional roller coaster for Lynn Michele’s family.
Court testimony revealed the victim died 15 days after Sale called 911 and had his wife admitted to a Dothan hospital with numerous injuries, including bruises, bite marks and gangrene.
