Michelle Arnett, the reigning Miss Alabama, won first runner up in the Miss USA Pageant in San Antonio, Texas Monday night.
Michelle made it into the top ten out of 51 girls in the competition. And then, after swimsuits and evening gowns, she made it into the top five.
She is a 25-year-old physical therapist assistant who graduated from Wallace Community College.
Twenty-three-year-old Susie Castillo of Lawrence, Massachusetts, was crowned Miss USA 2003.
Michelle Arnette, Miss Alabama, was first runner-up and home state favorite Nicole O'Brian of Friendwood, Texas, was second runner-up.
