It appears juvenile boot camps are history in Florida.
Lawmakers agreed Wednesday to shut them down and divert money used to run them, into another Juvenile Justice program.
House and Senate negotiators agreed to the changes, but it still needs approval from both chambers.
Under the agreement, boot camps would be replaced with something called sheriff's training and respect.
The system would be run by sheriffs and monitored by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
