Authorities say political signs could be causing a stir around the Wiregrass.
The Wiregrass Electric Cooperative says signs, poster, and objects on utility poles present a safety hazard to linemen. And if these signs are not properly placed on poles, right-of-ways, or private property, they'll be disposed.
Dothan Police Dept. Captain Nick Monday said, “I think nationwide, especially with so many races going on at once; sure it's here in Dothan. And as it gets closer to election time, we'll see more and more signs.”
Police tell News 4 most accidents occur at intersections. This can especially be hazardous if these same intersections are filled with distracting political signs.
