People from the Wiregrass came together at the Henry County Horse and Saddle Club to raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network.
A horse trail ride was organized to let kids have a fun time and to give people an opportunity to donate to the Children's Miracle Network. Diamond Ranch and The Saddle Club both sponsored the event.
Organizers said events like this allow the hospital to help many children in need. Children's Hopsital Outreach Coordinator Angie Sherrill said, "It's important to raise awareness about Children's Hospital because so many are from our area and need help from Children's Hospital.
It's a great avenue that let's us raise funds for kids." The trail ride raised over five thousand dollars to help children in the local area with medical assistance when they go to Children's Hospital in Birmingham.
